REACH FOR SUCCESS

The Hesston USD 460 District Framework states the belief that "Relationships are the Foundation of All We Do". Building positive relationships with students helps support student learning and unites our school community by students working collaboratively, practicing effective social skills, and engaging in hands-on, real-world learning. In support of that framework, HMS offers Reach for Success (RS) to our students.

RS is a 20-minute team-building/social skills advisory time that affords HMS students lessons on various themes such as: Respect for others, anti-bullying proficiencies, drug/alcohol prevention, conflict resolution, honesty, diversity, random acts of kindness, teamwork, perseverance, motivation, and more.

Each day our students are lead by our character-trained educators in various team-building activities that pilot healthy dialogue and processing about themes that are socially as well as ethically relevant.
